Lepai LP-2020A+ Tripath Class T Mini Amplifier - TA2020 - Amp Bench Test Tube. Duration : 11.22 Mins.
See the latest Lepai min amplifier, the LP-2020A+ up close and personal. I show off the connections, test the amp with music, then put the amp to the RMS power output test on the OldSchoolStereo.com test bench. I can't stress enough how great this little amp sounds! Also, I was expecting more output during the RMS wattage testing and if you go by the numbers themselves, it doesn't appear very impressive. For around US, I can't imagine a better deal for a small amp. It would be great to power some small bookshelf speakers or to be used in a portable stereo. See my buddy Jamesstargate1 here on YouTube as he's made a dozen or more boomboxes using these little Lepai amps. The amp is based on Class T topology and a tripath design. It also promises 88% efficiency and makes the most use of 2A I've ever seen in an amp. My LP-2020A+ didn't come with a power supply, so make sure you have an extra 12-14v 2-5A adapter with a center positive 5.5mm x 2.1mm plug. Luckily, I had an older LCD monitor with a compatible power supply. Let me know what you think about this little powerhouse! Bic America Bookshelf Speaker DV62si with Dared MP 5 Tube amplifier Video Clips. Duration : 3.73 Mins.
Hooked up Bic America DV62s1 Book Shelf speaker which I bought from Amazon at 8 (pair) with my DARED MP5 tube amplifier. Played songs by Paul Ponnudurai in his album "Right on Time" The mid and highs are nice but the bass needs some sub to complement. The clarity in Bic is obvious. It picks sounds of instruments which gets losts otherwise.Get a sub with Bic and you would love it.

Dayton Audio 30W two-channel amplifier Tube. Duration : 3.65 Mins.
The Dayton Audio 30W amplifier is small portable amplifier that is rated at 30W @ 15W per channel. The true output is closer to 9W/channel at 0.04% total distortion. For those who are not familiar with power settings on amplifiers - what does that mean... it means that you are able to power a nice set of book-shelf speakers and completely fill the room with sound. I bought the Dayton Amplifier to power some surface transducer speakers - mainly as a way to play around and build some speakers (See an example in the video portion of the review). While my speaker experiment was not overly successful I can still say that it was not because of the amp. The Dayton Audio 30W amp delivers impressive sound out of a small (portable package). One thing to consider, since this amplifier accepts aux inputs as the source you can use the Dayton Amplifier and a pair of bookshelf speakers and get sound that is superior to most ipod docks - at a fraction of the cost. A few notes - The Dayton Amplifier can use 8 AA batteries allowing it to provide power without being tethered to a wall outlet. - Will only accept an aux. input - the only way to use standard RCA inputs (or any other type of input) is to use a splitter or Aux-to-RCA connection. - The blue light on the front is bright and a little annoying. - Two channels - each accepting thin gauge speaker wire - Dial on the front for volume control Final Verdict - I am impressed with the Dayton Audio 30W amplifier. It can serve many purposes ...
