It's a short video but I managed to get it in 720HD. No real point of this other than showing off some old tech! Enjoy. My dad handed this system down to me years ago (aprox 10 years ago) when he upgraded to newer tech and better performance. This amp was one of the better units available back in the day at a respected price. Now used, they're still not cheap. The equalizer here is showing its age but the other components are in tip top shape for being 30 years old. The 5 disc Toshiba player was picked up in Calgary AB in 1988. Everything else was bought new in 1980. My 200w bookshelf speakers (0) are currently in use with the TV system, so I temporarily hooked up these older Koss speakers from the workshop. They put out 5-50w at 8ohm and are decent for the radio but don't have the clarity at even mid volume; of course. However, they work for now until I can get a deal on some decent speakers. The 5 disc CD player has been severely abused over the years. I had it set up in a commercial car wash for several years. It was subjected to extremely moist environment, including super hot dry air, and even managed to survive several freeze/thaws when the heaters decided not to operate. It keeps on playing and is still clear. I took the case off once to get it inspected by a shop 4 years ago to make sure it won't be a fire hazard for indoor use. I even transported the units for various functions that I hosted over the years (not all the components!).
